Mr. Loud has over 35 years of experience in mechanical, computer, pharmaceutical, and chemical arts in preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications. He has negotiated and drafted numerous licenses of intellectual property.

As a lead attorney, he has represented clients in interferences before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has been involved in oppositions in Japan and Europe. He also has extensive experience with appeals before the patent offices of the United States, Japan, and Europe. His practice also includes the counseling of clients in regard to matters of infringement issues, validity issues, and related legal matters.

He served as a claim drafting instructor with Patent Resources Group for over
10 years, helping students prepare for the agency examination before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
