Mr. Spector is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience handling procurement matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including patent application drafting and prosecution, conducting examiner interviews, filing appeals to and presenting oral arguments before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences, interference proceedings, and reissue and reexamination proceedings. His work primarily involves chemical subject matter such as pharmaceuticals, polymers, and biotechnology.

Mr. Spector is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He served as representative to the International Trademark Association for over 10 years. From 1983 to 2003, Mr. Spector was a shareholder with an intellectual property law firm in Arlington, Virginia.
