Mr. Williams is engaged in phases of patent prosecution in the electro-mechanical, electrical, and mechanical fields. His practice includes the preparation of opinions on patentability, validity, freedom-to-operate, and infringement. A sampling of technologies Mr. Williams frequently handles includes medical devices, household appliances, power distribution systems, smart cards, biometrics, semiconductors, and printing systems.
Mr. Williams brings to his practice the experience and insight of his eight years of experience as a patent examiner at the U.S. patent and trademark office. He often relies on his experience for evaluating prior art, conducting examiner interviews, and developing effective prosecution strategies. As an examiner, he examined applications for various printing devices, including inkjet and thermal print, rotary press printing, nanoimprint lithography, and electrophotography.
